Privacy Policy

LocalSign is built with a privacy-first, low legal-risk design. In short: your PDF is processed on your own device, and the application does not collect your documents or their contents.

Who is responsible for this Service

This Service is operated by Seshadri K, an individual developer based in India, who acts as the controller for any limited personal data described in this policy. For privacy questions or requests, contact contact@infrays.org.

Browser-only processing

All PDF processing — rendering, editing, signing, and exporting — occurs locally on your device in your web browser using JavaScript. The application performs no server-side PDF processing and does not upload your documents. Your file is held only in your browser’s temporary memory while the page is open and is discarded when you close or refresh the tab. There is no cloud document storage.

No intentional collection or storage of documents

The application does not intentionally collect, transmit, read, log, or store your documents, their contents, your file names, or document metadata. Signature images you draw or upload are used only on your device to place a mark on your PDF and are never transmitted to us.

What the application does not use

  • No user accounts and no sign-in.
  • No analytics of any kind, including page-view analytics.
  • No cookies, unless strictly required for operation.
  • No localStorage or other persistent storage of your data.
  • No marketing, advertising, or third-party tracking.
  • No logging of your IP address by the application itself.

Hosting and infrastructure logs

The LocalSign website is delivered as static files by a web host. As is standard for any website, the hosting provider’s infrastructure may maintain technical request logs (which can include data such as IP address) to serve pages and protect against abuse. This processing happens at the hosting layer, is outside the application’s control, and LocalSign does not use, store, or have access to that data. Please review your chosen host’s privacy terms before launch.

International use

Because processing happens on your own device, it occurs wherever you are located. The application does not transfer your documents across borders, as it never receives them.

Your responsibility for your documents

Because everything happens on your device, you are responsible for the documents you choose to open and process, for safeguarding any sensitive information they contain, and for keeping your own backups. We cannot recover documents, as we never receive or retain them.

Your rights and questions

Because the application does not collect or store your personal data, there is generally no document data for us to access, correct, or erase. If you have any privacy question, or a request regarding any limited personal data described above, you may contact contact@infrays.org.

Children

LocalSign is a general-purpose utility and is not directed to children.

Changes

We may update this policy as the tool evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
